Virtual Food Drive is Here!!!

This fall, our food drive is going virtual. We aren’t able to have our annual Harvest for Hunger Food Drive, but you can still give to help those who need it most in our community.

With your donation, you can feed children, seniors and others who have been most impacted by Covid-19.

The holidays are coming, and you can give an early gift for the hungry in our city. Please,

or call 622-7440.

Be what someone else is thankful for. With your help, “Let no one go hungry.”

CBC Community Cares

ABOUT CBC COMMUNITY CARES DAY

Be a lifeline to the most vulnerable in our city and region who have been hit the hardest by the pandemic.

Join CBC Toronto on June 12 for Community Cares, a day of special programming with music, stories, and coming together in support of food banks across Ontario.

The CBC will celebrate the resilience of a city and the people who are helping to bring us together, support our neighbours and feed our communities. We will also share stories of how we are changing, and who is helping us move forward.

For more information about CBC Community Cares visit cbc.ca/communitycares.

Your gift will help ensure that everyone’s right to food is realized in the weeks – and months – ahead.

Thank you for supporting the RFDA as we work to provide uninterrupted service to our neighbours in need.

Covid-19 Pandemic Response: Where to Get Food

Updated Post Regarding Food Distribution

This is a tough time for everyone, but together, we will get through it. It will require all of us working together to make sure that everyone is provided for while still being as safe as possible

The need is great, and to preserve resources and to better allocate them to make sure that all of our neighbours can access food, we are changing how hampers will be distributed for the time being. To get a food hamper:

Please call 211 to register.

There has been confusion in the past, but at this point, anyone requiring a food hamper must call 211 for registration.Do not call the RFDA, as we do not have the staff or volunteers to be able to adequately answer phone calls.
