STAMP OUT HUNGER

Stamp Out Hunger 2024

Stamp Out Hunger is back again this year, thanks to our wonderful partners who are dedicated to this important cause of collecting food items for donation to the RFDA. The event will take place on Saturday, May 11th. If you miss the collection on that day, you can still participate by placing your donations outside your door on Monday, May 13th, by 9 am.ย ย

The most desired donation items include canned meat, vegetables, soup, pasta, peanut butter, baby food, cereal, and more. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated as they allow us to purchase fresh food and other essentials.ย ย

We sincerely appreciate all the efforts put into this initiative to support the less fortunate in our community. The collected food donations will greatly assist the RFDA in its ongoing efforts to fight hunger and provide resources to plan our food bank inventory year-round.ย  Thank you once again for investing in your community and supporting local charities. It would be challenging to operate without the generous support we receive from our partners, sponsors, and donors

GIVING TUESDAY

Imagine a world where everyone receives the basic sustenance they need to survive, where no child goes to bed hungry, where every elderly person has a meal to look forward to, and where families do not have to worry about their next meal. This vision can be a reality, with your help. This Giving Tuesday, we call upon your generosity to make a difference in our community. Just a small contribution from your end can bring about substantial change in someone’s life.

On December 3rd, weโ€™re excited to participate inย GivingTuesday, a global day of giving and unity. This movement reminds us of the power of generosity and the impact we can create when we come together. At RFDA, weโ€™re working tirelessly to support our community through our food bank and programs, and we need your help to make a difference.ย This year, weโ€™re focusing on our capital campaign to renovate and expand our kitchen and warehouse facilities. By contributing to this campaign, youโ€™re helping us improve our space, increase our capacity, and ultimately provide even more support to those who rely on our services.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Donate $25 a month

By donating just $25 a month, you can provide 5 meals for the hungry in our community. Consider this, your small act of kindness can ensure that someone doesn’t sleep on an empty stomach for five nights. It’s a small amount to give, but it can make a world of difference to someone struggling to make ends meet. As they say, every little helps, and your monthly donation of $25 can help alleviate hunger in our community.

Donate $50 a month

Donating $50 a month can help us feed 10 young children, singles, or elderly people. In a world where food security is a major concern, your contribution can ensure that these vulnerable groups have access to nutritious meals. Imagine the smiles on the children’s faces when they receive a hot, nourishing meal. Imagine the relief for an elderly person who doesn’t have to worry about where their next meal will come from. Your monthly donation of $5o can bring about this change.

Donate $100 a month

By donating $100 a month, you can help 4 big families with emergency food items. Families often struggle the most when it comes to food security. Your contribution can provide them with the essential food items they need to survive during an emergency. It can give them a sense of security, knowing that they have a safety net to fall back on in times of crisis. Your monthly donation of $100 can provide this security.

Give for a Cause

Our appeal is simple: Give for a cause. This Giving Tuesday, let’s come together to fight hunger in our community. Each dollar you donate can help us provide meals for those who need them the most. Your contribution, regardless of the amount, can make a significant difference. So, let’s join hands and make our community a better place, one meal at a time.

Donate Now

Don’t wait for a better time to give. The time is now. Every second counts when it comes to fighting hunger. Your donation today can ensure that someone doesn’t have to go to bed hungry tonight. Make a difference today. Donate now.

FAST TO FEED CAMPAIGN

FAST FOR A DAY TO FIGHT HUNGER

THE CONCEPT BEHIND FAST TO FEED

The idea behind “Fast To Feed” is simple yet profound. We ask you to fast for 24 hours and consider donating the amount you would typically spend on food for that day. This initiative aims to help you understand the plight of those who go hungry and to raise funds to aid families struggling with food insecurity.

WHY $44.62?

The idea behind “Fast To Feed” is simple yet profound. We ask you to fast for 24 hours and consider donating the amount you would typically spend on food for that day. This initiative aims to help you understand the plight of those who go hungry and to raise funds to aid families struggling with food insecurity.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE ?

Participation is simple. On September 27, you fast for the day. During this time, consider the struggle of those who regularly go without food. Then, donate the amount you would have spent on your meals. To make it more engaging and spread the word, click a picture or a short video of you or an empty plate and share it on Instagram. Don’t forget to tag us @RFDA and use the hashtag #FASTTOFEED.

SNAP, TAG AND SHARE!

Your participation doesn’t end with fasting and donating. We encourage you to take a picture or a short video of yourself or an empty plate, symbolizing the meals you skipped for the day. Share this on Instagram with the hashtag #FASTTOFEED and tag @RFDA. This act will help raise awareness and encourage more people to join in this noble cause.
