In 2024, we here at the Regional Food Distribution Association (RFDA) prepared and distributed an astounding 45,000 sandwiches enough to stretch over 5.7 km beyond the length of the Golden Gate Bridge if laid side by side.![]()

These sandwiches provided nourishment to individuals in our community through our member agencies like The Salvation Army Journey To Life Centre Thunder Bay , Shelter House , PACE Thunder Bay , Dew Drop Inn Thunder Bay and many more. They have made a significant impact on our community and every sandwich represents a small yet powerful step in bridging the gap and supporting those who need it most.![]()

At RFDA, we are grateful to share that we have distributed 500,000 kgs of food to individuals and families struggling with food insecurity last year. Thatโs half a million kilograms of kindness, generosity, and community spirit coming together to ensure no one goes hungry to bed.![]()

But itโs not just about the quantityโitโs about the quality. Every food hamper we provide contains nutritious and wholesome food to support the well-being of our community.
